As he watched the pirate forces grow close, talis realized what his brothers plan meant. It was a briliant and devious plan, but chances were that they'd loose mic's puma to friendly fire. He just hoped that tank knew what he was doing. This strike called for precision, something the war hounds heavy squadron wasn't known for. At least the opening salvo would go to his light squadron.

" This is delta zero gamma, all clear in the concrete. Looks like intel was wrong."
It started.
" Delta, this is alfa one beta, what took so long?"
" Got caught up on a building with my torch, ma'am."
" Better be careful, newbie."
" Yes ma'am, i'll be careful. Going on ahead."
" Roger that. out."

Now the hard part, the wait. When this was over, he had to ask tank what this was about. the plan almost sounded personal. What did these pirates do to his big brother? Why, when he heard the name butterfly brigade, did he get that vicious look? Why did he say that it was about time? What ever it was, things have come full circle.

"Hey, carmin, you got a visual on the long range camera yet?"
"Yup, but they are pretty close together. i think i can hit them with out the extra electronics."
"Yeah, well better safe than sorry."
"Yup."
"So, what'd these guys do to jak?"
"You don't want to know."
"Hmm, so, you answered me before."
She glared at him in the mirror.
"What, i just want to know what unit you and my brother served together in."
" If you must know, we were pirates."
He turned around in his seat,"Your serious aren't you."
"As a heart attack."
" Lemme guess, these guys killed a buddy of his in a fire fight."
"Nope."
"Huh."
He turned back around and she looked at her moniter again, then back up at him.
" We have to camoflage soon."
" Got it."
He hit two switches on his console.
"Camo on. So any searches going on?"
She lookedback at her moniter before answering.
" No. I think they bought it."
" Good. Man i need a smoke."
" Those things'll kill ya."
" So will this job. But thats why we do it right."
" Yeah i s'pose."
He looked at the console," We need to move soon. Put yer harness back on."
" M'kay."
" Hey did you and tank ever get serious?"
" No."She looked at him funny,"He thinks of me as a sister."
" Huh. Thats to bad. Well, time fer the mind games."

As they pondered over that last question, he moved the Starhawk to a position behind the pirates. as they stoped a growl came over the radio. he cued his mike and growled back. Then he switched frequencies to the P.A. system.

"Attention pirates of the Butterfly Brigade, this is Talis Leon Stahl of the Warhounds. You are surrounded. Give up peacefully and you will live."

A beep on his console told him there was an incoming message on the VidCom. He hit the button for it. A beautiful blonde woman apeared on the screen.
"I am Lady Rose of the Butterfly Brigade. You're bluffing. There is no way you could have surounded us. Our scouts have your team about fifty klicks out."
talis giggled " You mean your puma. It was wiped out the moment it entered the city. Unfortunately the poor kid driving it decided to die while we tortured information out of him. To bad, he was brave enough to be a Warhound."
She looked pissed and was ready to fight by the look of it " You will die for that."
He laughed and turned off the VidCom. He cued his mike to talk to the rest of the team.
"Fire it up boys'n'gals, I think she means to fight."
