Oh, don't get me started on insurance companies! Mine stopped paying for Nexium some months back. I started on something else, but almost immediately got an ulcer in my esophagus. Months have gone by, trying two or three other meds, now my doc has written a letter stating that I need the Nexium. We'll see if they ease up, or let me bleed out internally, the bastards!
Anyways, think positive - I think we can create our own luck. to some degree, if we think positively.

This is weird, cuz I have a similar situation.
I am having insur. trouble. I take protonix. There is a generic, tho.
My Esoph. bled me to near death, and I have ulcers, all cuz of worrying, and drinking..

Yep, that was one I tried, didn't do much for me. They are supposed to be pretty similar, but us humans are all pretty different in our body chemistry I guess..
This is the second insurance company to do this to me (my wife changed jobs recently) So I think there's an orchestrated effort to force their customers to use cheaper drugs, regardless if that's what's good for their health.
That drinking is no good for you brother, and the worrying is just as bad. (not trying to preach - I have my own bad habits).

Very nice! Reminds me of a Norman Rockwell painting where he is paintinting himself painting himself and onwards (atleast I think he did that, they showed it in Escape from Planet of the Apes).
