While Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia Organa, and Chewy are trying to get back to the Millennium Falcon in the Docking Bay 327 in the Death Star, Ben Kenobi is fighting in a duel against Darth Vader. (I'm not sure where their duel started on the Death Star, I just know they ended up at the Docking Bay when ship is.)Here is a link to YouTube video of an enhanced version of this fight, Star Wars SC 38 Reimagined - YouTube .
And the Stormtroopers they were guarding the ship were distracted by this fight because they most likely never seen Darth Vader fight before. While the Stormtroopers were distracted, the other Heroes made their way to the ship until they saw Ben Kenobi fighting. After seeing all the Heroes together Ben Kenobi give Vader a mysteriously knowing smile. As he raised his blade in surrender and took a deep breath, Vader struck him down and his body disappeared, for he had become one with the Force. As the rest of them escape.
