Description
Working on the main image for my university's art festival in the Spring. The whole idea is similar to an old Bonnaroo poster I found of a dinosaur made out of guitars and bands and buses and musical things. So our school's mascot is an eagle, and he's gonna be made of all those fun things we do at ArtsFest.Time elapsed - Ten hours
Work So Far:
- Roughed out Sketch
- Submission of Sketch to Department Head
- Sketch Approved
- Scanned Sketch into Illustrator
- Roughed out entire outline
- Basic Color of outside wing are (no shading yet)
- Full illustration of guitar (highlights and a few basic shadows)
- Added background
- Cut eagle out of background (for screen printing purposes)
Disclaimer: I am not an illustrator. Many may scoff at how much time will elapse on this project, but this is my first full vector illustration, and I do not have a tablet. My reference points are sketches and a few photos.
Also: Please give comments on how I could improve the feathers, or tips and tricks for feathers and the head, I'm having issues there.
