Wrecked my mind.All my conclusions are in me,
but that box is empty
there is nothing there to find.
Take the ride
to the sad little protest.
Peace, love and the rest
behind that flag I hide.
Chances are that I'm wrong.
That chance, it scares me,
But wrong or not I press on.
Fearing all that is unknown,
so I wave that banner
until I can be shown
a simpler way to get away
from taking responsibility.

This is an incredibly strong piece! The first stanza feels like a sort of unsteady opening, but the first thing that comes to my mind in reading this and the last thing lingering after reading this is simply wow - great job!
