Description
"Wait....you mean there's SIX heralds?!""Uh, ha ha....apparently."
No, listeners, your eyes do not deceive you. Because I AM A DIRTY LIAR!...that or just really into PR. Anyway, since we're covering two characters, it's best to understand both of their backgrounds. Long story in 3, 2, 1....
Circuit Breaker is the eldest of the Heralds. Just as his name implies, he was a mechanic and scientist from Kaon prior to the Great War. You may think his appearance and occupation are clashes of interests, but it surprisingly worked, to the point where he was personally invited to study and work in Iacon by the top technological school. His peers, at first, recieved him rather lukewarmly, but he quickly proved his mettle, impressing them, his teachers, and his future partner....
On the other hand, Sideeye was the son of an Iacon politician who would want nothing more than to see him follow in his....footsteps? Tiretracks? Anyway, he wanted nothing to do with the corruption he saw, and spent his time researching great Cybertronian heroes and training in scouting and sniping. Due to his tiny build, his self esteem took a nosedive until he met a technological student from Kaon, who made him feel....well, not to sound cliche, adored.
The duo courted each other for some time until Breaky asked Sides to be his Conjunx-Endura, or soulmate. Needless to say, he got an elated yes and big ol kiss on the faceplate. They traveled around Cybertron, helping with all sorts of odd jobs....until they got stuck in Kaon during the uprising. When they were mistaken for Autobots, Megatron had a proposition for them: either suffer the fate of so many other Autobots, or become part of Project Herald. However, they didn't count on the relic Circuit Breaker was supposed to be infused with, the Forger, splitting between them via their sparkbond, thus giving them the same powers: magnetic field manipulation, electrokinesis and ferrokinesis (Metal manipulation). The strength depends on how close they are to each other. It wasn't until they saw what happened to the other test subjects that they decided to book it, rejecting Megatron’s offer to become Decepticons. One grand escape later, and they crashed onto the same blue marble as another Herald. For thousands of years, they wandered, using their skills, powers and each other to survive.
Until a certain Shadowatcher and her partners showed up on their doorstep...
Enjoy!
