Description
The River-Beast (Besta do Rio) is a species of amphibious humanoids that live along the Amazon River. First discovered by scientists in the 1950s, they average from 6 feet to 6'5 in height, and are related to the Deep Ones (from the Lovecraft mythos).Inspired by the Gillman from The Creature from the Black Lagoon.

Hmm, looking over this again, I feel like this could use some more work. One of the big things about the Creature is that its costume was also a fully-functional diving suit - as it is now, this thing doesn't really look humanoid enough. Maybe it could have rubbery lips that retract to reveal extending jaws like a shark's?

Oh wow that is a really nice revamp there. After I did my own 30 days of Fishmen from fiction...it's nice to see something still original come from the Black Lagoon like design. I love the Dunkleosteus inspired head.
