I kinda think it better that way as much as I want more. Its always best for a series to end in a way where it tugs at your emotions either in a good way like this or in a sad way. It speaks volumes for writing if you can effect someone emotionally with your work.
Any further then the animation had was unnecessary as this was the perfect ending.
