Description
(Continued from Mania)
...But soon in my mind, there will come soft rains,
To extinguish my fires; wash them away
Sometimes inside, embers remain,
More often than not, that too will fade
Their dull, grey skies begin,
Where once towering colors had been.
Here my mind starts to choke,
On flying ashes and thickening smoke.
In the dark and cold the rains have brought,
My warmth kept in by a single thought.
After years, it’s only, as I’ve learned,
A matter of time before flames return.
A companion piece to Mania, which I meant to submit along with it but I guess I forgot.
