supposedly, due to spending so much time in their Mjolnir armour, all the Spartan II's are as pale as hell, due to lack of sunlight. Some of them even lost their hair color, though that was more to do with the modifications that went into making them spartans rather than the armour.

no prob. A lot of technical details are covered in the halo novels too.

And yes, Cal 141 was a Spartan II. The fact she was wearing Mjolnir armor is proof alone.

Spartan III's enhancements weren't nearly as intensive, nor were their armour as advanced. The Motto of the Spartan III project was: Make more of them and make them cheaper.

In short, Spartan III's were canon fodder, sent on suicide missions with little hope of return. Those who DID suffered side effects from their rushed treatments later down the line.

Not proof alone that she was so much bigger than the ODST's?

I heard, Spartan III Series Soldiers are not as huge as Spartan II's, because they "usually" get made into Spartans first when the are Adults in Full Growth.

So they are not doped in Grow since small, makes them smaller than the Spartan II Series Soldiers. Or am i mistaken here? I believe i heard something like this. : 3

Spartan II's enhancements are decidedly more extensive than the Spartan III's, and included all sorts of genetic and mental enhancements designed to make them Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger (lol).

However, as this was the 'early days', only a small percentage of those who went through the process SURVIVED it, and of those who did, even LESS were combat capable.

I know. Many Spartan-II Candidate's became crippled and were handicapped due to it.

In this Case, i'm glad that the Halo-Story is only fictional.

It wasn't that they were made more vulnerable. Spartan III's were just as capable, if not as powerful, as the Spartan II's. And there were MORE of them.

That was the point of the project: Make MORE of them at a more affordable pace. Since Spartan III's were typically sent on suicide missions anyway, those who made it back were the cream of the crop, capable of standing side by side with the likes of the Spartan IIIS, though they didn't get Mjolnir armor, as their enhancements weren't THAT advanced.
