I was in a funk last night and had it out with myself. This ends up being extremely personal for me as an artist. This is more or less the advice I wrote for and to myself. There's an awful place in almost any medium where you can compare yourself to others and feel extremely insignificant, as if all your improvement is for naught. Don't go there, just don't. It's an awful place and your improvement is certainly worth it, even if you don't see it yet.
I said 'create' instead of draw, because I wanted to leave this open for more than one medium. There are a whole gamut of ways to express creativity.
