Udo Holzbach is a 28-year old man known for being a responsible, mature and confident academic (for the most part). He originally came from Koblenz, a busy and massive metropolis (to the eyes of a villager at least), where he studied at university and earned a master's degree in finance. After graduating, he lived with his girlfriend and worked at a bank, but after a horrible breakup, Udo decided to do something crazy to turn his life around. Growing more and more frustrated and annoyed by the messy, loud, overcrowded city, and also feeling lonely, he decides to move to the small village of Nagel after coming across a rental house on the internet. Once he got there, he met Klaus, his new roommate, whom he immediately disliked. He found a job at a local bank, but his various weird interactions with the villagers caused him to rethink his life choices. He tried to move out again, but unfortunately for him, due to good ol' German bureaucracy, his rental contract was set at lasting for infinity, and he is unable to leave the house until he pays a massive amount of money. So until that happens, he is stuck in Nagel, living with a grown manchild who often causes trouble for him, and having to deal with the challenges of living in a small village. As a result of his living situation, he starts developing a massive temper, which he also has to manage, as he fears he might lose his maturity. Also, his status as a "guy from the city" brings him a bunch of unwanted attention and harassment in the village, making him, together with Klaus, with whom he's often lumped in, a very easy target to pick on.
