the magazine, called 'sangen gourmet', was full of fad diets and often quite unhealthy suggestions on care of the body. cader became known as the primary author of the dieting section, flamboyant and eager in his writing, and evidently unquenchable in his hunger for the discovery of the Perfect Dietary Plan.
he was unexpectedly banned from entering anything into the sangen gourmet one day, after several years of being the main name on its covers. this is because he'd sent in a 'dietary revelation'. this would surely have been a much celebrated occurrence - had this 'revelation' not been so unquestionably bizarre, and even frightening.
cader had 'discovered' that the perfect diet was one during which one lost weight while eating. namely, the diet of autocannibalism, the act of devouring oneself.

his friends slowly began to notice his weight loss, and applauded him - though fell silent when he began wearing an eyepatch.
