Neolirit presents: Reenactment of a Clairvoyant (ROAC) A3 Poster - NecronomiconThe name of the artwork is inspired by one of my favorite artists H.R. Giger and his first (bible) ‘Necronomicon’ this magnificent book of paintings, sketches and photos, along with autobiographical passages and the artist's personal reflections upon his work.
I created this artwork back in 2009, it was in homage to Giger, but is more metal and rock rater than organic metal with industrial embryonic skin and bone.
I wasn’t trying to copy Giger in anyway but trying to invoke my own stylised impression of the feeling Giger's work creates.
I created the 'Reenactment of a Clairvoyant' name after being inspired by NeoLirit's debut album from 2000 which was called 'Total Reenactment of a Clairvoyant'.
