The colours (in the video) are representative of their relationship - he sees it as this big, multicoloured complexity and she feels that she can just wipe it away. The way the camera is working when the paint strips off her also makes her look as if she's shaking/shuddering, so that she seems to be regretting her attempts to forget the past.
