no way, the background is perfect. a boring suburban setting, with such a lovely tree.

as for the "rules" of photography, i reckon it's just whatever works for you. I do agree with caitiecometrue though for this one, if you centred it off to the left a bit, you could have used the "boring, suburban" setting more.

regardless, a cool pic.

i like how dimly saturated this is, naturally. Like fall is known for it's striking shades but it's almost like you're capturing the transition to fall with the washed out background and more subtle capturing of the colors in the tree.
i'd love to see you experiment with composition to let us find the "center" of the picture, the visual center, that is, without it being physically centered. Challenge us!
