It was 4:15am and Ziggy was all packed.

Akimi was sound asleep in bed which was just fine with Ziggy; he didn't want the demon to see him like this. He had finally decided on what he was going to do.
He had to leave.

When Ziggy had been napping earlier Akimi had been the one to wake him. He did it gently, almost lovingly. It made the little elf's heart hurt. They had had sex and Akimi had gone to sleep with Ziggy huddled in his arms.

Ziggy had never fallen back asleep though.
He had laid there thinking. Thinking about Akimi and how he felt about him. That's when he'd finally decided to leave. Akimi was too good for him. He could find someone better than Ziggy. He knew he could.

He was hurting too much. He didn't like it. The hurt was happening more and more often now. When ever Akimi looked at him or even when Ziggy was only thinking about him. He didn't want to feel that anymore.

Ziggy ripped out a sheet of paper from a notepad in his bag and scribbled a quick note on it for Akimi. He didn't want to leave, but it seemed the only way to do things. It made sense, to Ziggy at least.
He put the note on the table next to the bed and kissed the demon on the forehead. He would miss him, he knew he would. He walked to the door and looked back one more time, a heaviness in his heart and sadness in his eyes. Then, he was gone.

The note fluttered to the ground, Ziggy's neat hand writing showing. The only things on the note were the elf's spidery signature and four simple words: You make me hurt.
