In the future... WAAAAY int eh future, where my cahracters are from, russian and english are about the same.
I only speak english and know nothing of russian. Not even interested lol
But ti was once a world power... and since there is a considerable amount of politics in my comic.. they could have come back or soemthing

That kind of reminds me of Joss Wedon's Firefly! 'cept he had English and Chinese. So the characters would speak in english and swear in Chinese.
And Russian is weird. Had to sing in it once. They have two different "O"s.
