Description Leaves falling from branches
Playing music with the winds
So much beauty nearing the end
Before the snow falls silently,
Gracefully to the earth...
My heart beats warmly
Yet sadly within my chest

Memories of the many falls
The chilling winters
The late, forgotten springs
Empty summers that burned all hope

Believed for so long
Sung such hopeful songs
How do the leaves feel when they fall?
To the dirt, to the ground
What do they look forward to

Would they think of lost hope
Removed from their home
Knowing they would never return
Did they dream of the dirt they'd eventually become
Blanketed by snow

No...

they would become spring
Their souls beautiful flowers
Beautiful greens as far as the eyes could see

My heart never realized these sacred
Wonderful things
Hope isn't a fools play toy
It's the eternal cycle
That forges diamonds
Raises mountains
Shapes the rivers across the lands
For it is not just life
Heading inevitably into death
But death, also inevitably leading to life

The leaves when they fall...
Do not lose hope
