I WOULD NOT APPRECIATE YOU USING THESE AS BASES. USE THE ORIGINALS, THANK YOU.

This is something I've been working on few about a week now. I know it isn't much, but the panels I used to make this came straight off of Cascade . . . so there were a lot of hidden colors and some pixelation in some places, but I managed to nicely edit the original panels to make this lovely little strip. You guys have no idea how proud I am of this! I love the way it looks and wow . . . I know I'm not very good at perspective, but I really think I did okay in the first two panels. I really, really do. And the fun I had with the hair, oh my God . . . you wouldn't believe how much this piece pleases me, wow.

The song I chose originally for this was "Iridescent" by Linkin Park. I somehow hadn't heard it until I watched the third Transformers movie and the song stuck with me. I knew I wanted to do something with it, but I couldn't quite think of what, until I started thinking of just how Savv and Savana would meet. I mean, they're alternate versions of one another--one human, one troll. And in the moment they met, great devastation befell the planet. The planet in question? It's neither Earth nor Alternia. It isn't even Skaia. Nope, this was Savv's planet. The game couldn't handle these two existing in the same space, and started to fall apart just as it had when it began. Savana refused to leave her human counterpart as they were linked by ectobiology, and instead stayed with her while they went to save what life they could on the planet, moving it to the one that Savv's team created. Her own team, meanwhile, were busy trying to keep a stable portal open between the two worlds so that they could get everything through in time.

A song that I hadn't even considered for this piece until this morning while I was finishing drawing the last panel (the only one I did completely freehand without bases!) was "Run" by Snow Patrol. It's more of a love song, but I feel that in a platonic sense it fits these two and their relationship very well indeed. Especially the very last stanza of the song.
