Summary: Curious about the rock circle left behind by their packmates who fell at the start of spring, Marlowe and Nott are determined to see for themselves what all the fuss is about. They manage to convince the first hearthkeeper they come across - in this case, the ever sullen Timeo - to take them to where the circle is. The dark wolf is hesitant but caves easily enough; it is his job to help look after Skydas's youngsters, after all. He can handle the discomfort of being near the off-putting rocks in order to sate the two young wolves' curiosity.------------------------------------------------------------------------------
