Description

Stat panels for the AM-2. A few notes: the rocket-assisted sabot projectiles (RAADS) fired out of the Adama-1 cannon accelerates under its own power for approximately 2.2km but has the most effective penetration between 500-1000m due to it still having a relatively high mass due to the large amounts of remaining rocket propellant. Armor values are listed in true thickness, effective thickness against kinetic/HEAT rounds are slightly improved due to the use of silica-based materials used.

After the introduction of the Python Mk. 1, the Ferracies military began to phase out their older Krait tanks due to them being largely obsolete. The vagabond ATLF group, sensing an opportunity to exact revenge on other powers who they felt had wronged them, bought up a large amount of them. They knew the vehicle stood no chance defeating any other vehicles at the time, so they greatly modified the existing tanks and began to produce their own. They removed the extra armor the Krait had and installed a new hydrogen power system copied from leaked Tridainian designs which greatly improved the reliability and mobility of the tank. They replaced the welded turret with a much larger cast one to mount the monstrous 96mm Adama super-high-pressure cannon. The Adama was a indigenous copy of a gun built by the advanced Balkera Empire which had mysteriously collapsed a few years prior. The gun uses advanced composites including graphine which was unheard of at the time which allowed it to greatly outperform any other tank gun at the time. It could also use unique rocket-assisted sabot rounds (RAADS) which could penetrate over 3 meters of solid steel, giving it the punch to knock out almost everything on the battlefield.

It was a textbook glass-cannon as, despite using siliceous cored armor, it didn’t have enough armor to go toe-to-toe with Tridainian and later Ferracies tanks as they would turn on their old allies. Though, even with the introduction of tanks like Columbia and Python II the Adama cannon could still reliably take them out.

The Sentinel would be extremely successful especially in ambushes and long range battles and would serve the ATLF well in their wild crusades against basically every other nation. Ferracies forces often backed out of engagements with these vehicles, something they never did for other foes.
