I;m fine thanks, doing good. I almost have my current painting finished and so soon to be posted on DA here. Just some finishing touches to do, but knowing how I work this could mean finished in 1 day or 1 month

I'd love to paint faster, I get too focused on the little details sometimes. But I'm coming to accept that's how I work and I just have to run with it. So, what's your secret for painting fast, is it in the brushstrokes or the fact you have a clear vision of what you want to do and don't need to spend so much time making changes?

ummm, i guess i just have to remember that sometimes what you dont see gives way to imagination and mystery...(like the none exsistant body n whole head of the demon in "trick or treeeatt..")mostly instead of detail..., I think of the impact i guess. i do have certain teqniques I have taught myself in photoshop and use them to speed things up (refering to using filters and brushes)...I will never know al about that program, but love learning. I also about 75% of the time..have a clear idea then takes me a few to lay out a game plan. I make only minor changes and am always glad it did...

ok there it is!...my novel..lol.

Yes you're right, sometimes less is more and leaving areas up to the imagination of the viewer is a good thing. I don't think I do this enough, I tend to want to try and put in all the tiny details. Of course that's fine too, but then I shouldn't complain if it takes me forever Thanks for the tip, I'm going to try and do some quicker speedpaints soon and will bear this in mind.
