I've had a PMV idea with Spiderleg for quite a while, and I recently got the sudden motivation to draw this "concept art" for how it might look.
Yes the other cats have insect faces. Why yes, it's to emphasize the disconnect Spiderleg feels with other cats. And yes, he became this way because it's how he coped with the loss of his brother (plus being kind of neglected by his parents and mentor) - thus, feeling alone and alienated, he acquired a crippling fear of being vulnerable/too close with others.
I have like, a version of Spiderleg in my head that I'm 99.9% sure is not what he's like in canon at all, but hey.
