Light Diffuser Box Experiment

I bought this pendant at the farmer’s market. I thought it would be a good subject to try the diffuser box on. I’m having a little trouble getting the colors of the pendant to come out, I’m also having trouble getting the stupid camera to focus at longer focal lengths. I’m not really sure why, I’m going to have to experiment more, or heavens forbid… read the stupid owner’s manual. Another thing I learned about my light box kit (diffuser box) is the little studio light get surface of the sun HOT pretty fast, might need a fan blowing on them if you’re going to have them on for over 5 minutes.
Learning to love photography again.
