Whenever the word "Pollution" is mentioned ,People usually tend to think of smoke ,ocean pollutants ,water resources pollution ,garbage piles …etc . But there's one kind of pollution which is frequently overlooked .

Besides the pollution that affects what we see ,smell ,feel ,or taste ,…There's a pollution that affect the things we hear . It's the Noise Pollution

Noise pollution is a type of energy pollution in which distracting, irritating, or damaging sounds are freely audible .

As with other forms of energy pollution (such as heat and light pollution), noise pollution contaminants are not physical particles, but rather waves that interfere with naturally-occurring waves of a similar type in the same environment.

Noise pollution has bad effect on humans as well as on animals .

For people ,it can cause annoyance and aggression, hypertension, high stress levels, tinnitus, sleep disturbances, and other harmful effects. Besides , Chronic exposure to noise may cause noise-induced hearing loss .

As for its effect on the wildlife , It increases the risk of death by changing the delicate balance in predator or prey detection and avoidance, and interfering the use of the sounds in communication especially in relation to reproduction and in navigation.

Another impact of noise on animal life is the reduction of usable habitat that noisy areas may cause, which in the case of endangered species may be part of the path to extinction.

For example ,Noise pollution has caused the death of certain species of whales that beached themselves after being exposed to the loud sound of military sonar

What is noise pollution ?

This is one of very few drawings that was completely done digitally . Normally ,I would sketch with pencil then scan the drawing and finish it with my laptop . But this time I did it all with photoshop .

Thank God ,I'm so pleased with the result . It came like I imagined ,which rarely happens to me

This is an entry to =I-Roka contest .The theme is let's Save the Earth together

I'm so glad that =I-Roka invited me to participate in it ,since one of the prizes is a drawing from my favorite artist ~Nayzak and I have a good idea of what I want .
