Food!I made this from Glutinous Rice Flour.
It is a South-Eastern dessert (Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Phillipines, Malaysia, Singapore etc. all seems to have the same or similar sort, maybe just different fillings.. even China and Japanese and Korean may have similar ones but called differently...)
It is either eaten as snacks or dessert.
There are something similar to this, which is called 'mochi'.
Anyway, they are glutinous and sort of sweet and soft in texture. Not all have to be covered in coconut shreds, but the coconut shreds are used to keep it from sticking to one another.
