Technical information for an old, low detail reference:
The white plates on his neck/chest are made of bone and function as armor. His crest is actually just stiff fur/hair that stands up along his head and neck like a mohawk lol but softens and lays down as it extends down his back. He has thick, leathery skin instead of scales.

Here's a kind of reference for my favorite dragon character. He's actually based off of a character from somewhere else-can you guess? If you know who that character is, I'll draw something for you or something. Because he is seriously awesome, but gets no credit for anything, most likely due to the media he belongs to never becoming popular. He literally has like 5 fanarts on DA, oh so sad.
