Blue fingers tug at one another as the Victini looks up from her phone, tongue still poking out from between her lips from concentrating.
The Sylveon tries not to stare.
She fails, but proceeds regardless.
"...Theres this, uh, movie coming out soon...and...I wanna go see it, but I don't like going to places like that by myself. Would...if you're free this Saturday, would you want to come with me?"
The Victini's grin is bright and toothy, her never-still hands tapping a tune on the wooden table beneath her.
"'Course I'd wanna go!" Suddenly, a crease forms between the Victini's brow as she thinks. "Hm. Well, the theatre on this side of town's in a sketchy neighborhood, maybe we shouldn't go just by ourselves?"
Her heart sinks as conclusions are jumped.
It's a sweet way to let her down, the Sylveon supposes, but it still stings.
Her ears droop.
"Oh...well...Maybe. I'll...ask around if anyone else wants to, I guess. Um..." With slacking ribbons and a breaking voice, she turns around. "I...I gotta go."
The Sylveon all but runs out of the cafeteria, leaving the Victini behind, hand raised and a quickly-forming frown.
"...Was it something I said?"
