What ghost?
I just gave it all up,
The whole fucking lot.

Now it’s just the wall, and me
That target, and me
The one so heavily beaten upon in the past.

Ah the past.
Wasn’t that fun?
Being carefree, careless.
Nothing mattered then.

So while I’m awake,
Let the body rage,
And while I sleep,
Let it repair for the next day.

For one day I’ll break that wall,
Destroy it, crush it.
Then maybe I’ll get my life back,
That precious thing I once held,
Controlled, and believed in.
