Description Toni's Triumph

Bullets ricocheted around the room, into the wooden desk that Toni Covino hid behind. Plants and their pots exploded, windows shattered then smashed, plaster from the walls fell to the floor and sprayed across the room as the three men in the doorway sprayed bullets in Toni's general direction. As Toni reloaded her .357 Desert Eagle, with an 8 round clip, she planned her next move. The piller to her right, that protruded from the wall, would provide enough cover from the three men, and would give a good shot as she changed positions.

She spun rapidly out, 180 degrees, surprising the men that she was still alive. Raising her weapon as she was down on one knee, she squoze the trigger firmly, the men began to look for cover. The one furthest left, a short and quite fat man, with giant sweat patches under his arms, lunged behind another piller sticking out of the same wall that Toni was headed for, the man on the right, a tall, well built black man, tipped over another desk and sat with his back too it. The man in the middle, however, was not so lucky, as the bullet that was let loose from Toni's .357 landed in his right shoulder, shattering bone and spraying blood against the previously clean and expensive cream wallpaper. Another bullet tore through the mans neck, spraying blood both forwards and backwards and the mans scream was smothered by blood forcing its way out.

A corpse lay, now, in the room, blood escaping the mans body as it became limp. The other two men screamed as they realised their friend and team mate had been killed in mere seconds. Toni simply counted that she had 6 bullets left in the clip. She made a swift roll to the left, placing her behind the pillar she had planned to move behind. One down, two to go.

The man behind the pillar, Fatty, as Toni would now name him, ran for the doorway in fear, scared of seeing his friend die, and not wishing to have the same fate. Toni's gun rang out another shot, then another, the first going into the wall, just right of Fattys right leg, the other blowing out his right kneecap, bringing him to the floor in one movement. His scream was shrill and long.

As he moaned on the floor, Toni counted 4 rounds left and rose to her feet, the tall man did the same, then soon after seeing Toni, dived back behind the upturned desk.

Moments passed and all that could be heard were the fat mans moans and pitiful scrapings in a bid to make it towards the door. AK bullets smashed into the pillar next to Covino and she turned towards the wall, to protect herself. Aimlessly firing, she fired 3 shots in the tall mans direction. The firing instantly ceased, but she still heard movement. One bullet left. Glancing to her left, her back to the pillar, she saw a letter opener on the floor, the wall in front of her peppered with bullets, she decided that the risk was the only way.

In one huge push of energy, she dived across the gap as the tall man opened fire, bullets flew everywhere, many missing but one connecting. The bullet pierced Toni's chest. Falling to the floor, not moving very much, she breathed shallowly. The tall man began a cautious walk towards her, her gun a few feet away from her hand as she dropped it in mid-air, after the bullets entry. Slowly she held the unusually sharp letter opener in her hand, the blade hidden under her arm.

Blood began to trickle out of her mouth as her life force escaped her body, the man smiled, his mission complete, or so he thought. Before he understood what was going on, Toni's adrenaline filled scream filled the office as her body rose from the floor in great speed. The knife was thrust upwards, through the mans throat, she tore it out, raising her arm and keeping the blade horizontal as she spun, after one full spin the blade re-entered the man, it dissapeared into the killers temple, his eys fluttered and twitched, and his body instantly collapsed to the floor.

Toni stood, blood pouring from her chest and mouth, she bent down, grasped the Desert Eagle and struggled to stand again. Leveling the gun at the man she had named Fatty, she cocked the deadly weapon as he screamed for his life, begging her not too. The last bullet didnt miss, it blew off half the fat mans skull, brain matter and bone sprayed across the door.

Collapsing to the floor, then lying down, Toni breathed her last breaths. Three for one, yet their mission complete. The last ounce of life escaped her and she was released into the next world.
