When all was calm,
And life looked… almost bright.
I loved it then.
The summer, hot and eventful,
Smiling and cherishing,
Every minute we had.

Then the day came,
Everything changed,
My mind controlled by greed,
Destroyed the excitement.
So the happiness destroyed,
Sadness reigning once again,
Because of what I began,
And what you finished.
We’re so far apart now,
Different people,
Simply living life,
As a chore.
