The Summer Batch of Vexxon Adoptables!
Draw To AdoptThis means that in order to try out for an adoptable, you have to draw them! Cabbage.
You can try out for all four of the adoptables, with seperate peices of art, or just one big picture! But you will only be able to win one of the Vexxon.
SO! To enter draw a picture(s) of any/all the Vexxon you want to apply for, be it reference, full body example or simply a picture of the Vexxon enjoying itself. Onion

Before doing ANYTHING, make sure youve swotted up on all of the information on the species!

Only once you have read through all of the information will you be ready to adopt a Vexxon.
Things To ChangeOf course, these designs may not be to your exact tastes, therefore, there are a few things which you can change.
Colour
You can change any of the colours in your Vexxon.
Gender
You may add or remove one of the headfeathers to your Vexxon, thus changing the gender.
Minor Tweaks
You may make minor tweaks and additions to the markings and overall arrangement of feathers, gemstones, fur and such.
Be Creative!
CarrotThese arent hard and fast rules, these Adoptables are simply bases from which you can build with your own imagination! If you are unsure weather the changes you wish to make are allowed or not, run them by me, and I am sure we can agree on something!

Garlic As before mentioned, it is essential that you understand my species, The Vexxon, before attempting to adopt one. This is simply because they are a rather complicated species and I cannot allow you to possess one if you do not fully understand how they work. I have put alot of effort into this species, and I hope all of the reading wont put you off the concept of adopting. Our group #Vexxon-Collective is a group dedicated to this species. It is NOT required that you join in order to adopt a Vexxon, but we do atleast strongly recommend that you watch the group, to recieve updates, special art offers, contests and general news on the species. Somewhere with your entry, please post the four vegetables written within this description, just to show you have read the rules. This is a competition! The closing date is the 30th of September (I would rather give people too much time than too little, but the due date is final this time!) and the best entrant for each Vexxon by that time will be given to the artist as theirs. ok just a couple questions about the vexxon, trying to understand what i'm trying to adopt (:
are the aviants the only ones that can fly? or are they just the most skilled flyers? and how do they fly?
how large are they compared to humans? and are domestic or feral more common?
and it seems like they can think for themselves, so why are some of them pets? like do the vexxon chose to be pets or do humans buy and sell them?

Ok. Sure.
First, Vexxon dont fly. Although they have many attributing factors that relate them to birds, in the same way dinosaurs and birds were linked, yet dinosaurs were also flightless. Aviants have hollow bones and are smaller, so therefore they are far lighter and more nimble. They can also jump higher, and are better climbers.
Size? I often think of them as slightly bigger than horses.
Feral are more common, simply because the planet which they inhabit (Diplode: [link] ) is only very sparsely populated by humans, with only six major cities across the whole world.
They can indeed think for themselves, but in a different way to humans, and it is this which allows them to be kept so easily as pets. Firstly, it is partly due to the Vexxon reliance on metal. They eat it, and expell it from their system in the form of their metal chestplates, which they use for many things, such as combat, and to attract the opposite sex. Obviously, metals are most easily obtained from humans, and therefore this is a large reason why Vexxon take domesticated life so easily. Even with feral groups of Vexxon, they always gravitate towards human settlements for their metal intakes.
Another reason that Vexxon coexist so well alongside people is that their way of thinking is different to our own. Whereas a human would believe that being held in captivity as a pet would be an inhumane way of being treated, without freedom and all that, a Vexxon would simply look at a life in captivity as an easier form of living, with all the food, water and metal on hand. They are often kept in large paddocks, with stables, but are not fussy, and will thrive almost anywhere so long as there is ample space. Of course, animal cruelty is a problem anywhere, but, with their intelligence, strength, and size, they often escape from bad homes, and are considered a valuable enough possession that they only ever fall into the hands of those who are likely to care for them.
They are brought and sold like any pet, amongst breeders, and regular people alike, but are always expensive to buy and to keep.
