I have also done a couple Henndrix pieces in my gallery, I think he is perfect for black and white.

Technically, the drawing is really good, especially considering your medium. It seems like the lower half (mouth and chin) are a little askew from the top half of his face. Also, I sort of get the fact that the eyebrows probably cast a shade under them, which you followed, but there's no... textural distinction made... hence his eyebrows look a little funny, like they're creeping down the side of his nose. Also, there are some bits where you've relied more on linework than shading, and it gives it a bit of a sharp, unnatural look. Like the creases under his eyes, the way you've defined the outside of his nostrils and lips, it should just have more tonal value. Maybe this is just a bad picture and you cant make out the details all that well. It's still a well excuted piece. By the way, is this just pen or pen and ink? Because some places look remarkably smooth and well blended, as if with a brush. Then again, maybe it's the picture.
I have issues with the DD description. Not the work being chosen as a DD, because it stands up as well as most others, and it obviously appeals to the large Hendrix fan base, but... I don't see where you've actually put thought into it. It looks like a fairly accurate copy of a Hendrix picture, not like you took much artistic license. Obviously, this isn't directed at you since you had nothing to do with the description, I just thought I'd add it anyway. Please don't take it as an insult.

In my school, there is a momorial in the art room wall that the students painted and Jimi Hendrex is on it. He's such an awesome guitarist! And this picture is totally awesome!

well thanks! that was one of the reasons i choose to do it pen because of the shadows, i thought it would be a better suited medium, plus i didnt want to do it charcoal, i wa going through a pen faz.
