Description
I call this pure luck, because this was absolutely pure luck. This photograph has not been altered in any way what so ever, I didn't even adjust contrast or brightness or anything. It's straight from the camera. At the park here in Berlin, there was a big ol' concrete structure with a hole in it, walking up to the hole you look in to find a projector running.. playing a movie of two guys kissing.
Why?
Because it's art, I guess. Having a concrete structure in the center of a park in the first place is off beat, having a black and white film playing of two guys kissing via a projector within it is about the last thing you could ever possibly guess would be on the screen. And ... well whatever.
The point is, the glass reflected some light, the projector inside the structure didn't reflect at all....
I really like the result.
But totally a snapshot, I didn't intend to submit this as a deviation, it just came out interesting enough to include in my gallery for a time.
enjoy.

DafΓΌr, dass ich in Berlin geboren bin und seitdem nie den Wohnort gewechselt habe, kenne ich erschreckend wenige Facetten dieser Stadt. Naja, wat soll's... Hab ja noch 'nen Leben vor mir

very off-beat photo effect, makes you wonder about the future of installation pieces too

The photo is nice, a reminder of my curiosity I recently visited Berlin and "fall" for the art-trap. My thoughts were mixed yet the most important thing about this structure is that it made me think.

i just now stumbled upon this, but in case you were interested, the reason that's there is to commemorate the homosexuals that were killed in the holocaust. That's why it's across the street from the holocaust memorial. It was built not too long ago by some of the gays that live there. I was just there this past year and learned that

that is totally bizarre! I love when cameras capture something that you never imagine could be done without editing

Before I read artists comments, just with the title and photo I thought that you captured two kissing guys outside the glass space you are in Its nice that your camera is in center weighted exposure metering, that makes you appear a bit darker but the main subject with correct exposure. Congrats!

Sometimes when you are able to capture the word around you as you observe it, interesting things can happen....Great pic!

If you could name me the park, then it's possible I can name the artist, the work and the meaning behind it.

OMG! If you didn't explain I wouldn't understand it's an ordinary photo. It's look like manipulation. And your reflection reminds me 3D photos technic. That's interesting.

"I didn't even adjust contrast or brightness or anything. It's straight from the camera."
I used to take pride at these things too (well, before I switched to film anyway ), but then I realized that it's a rather stupid thing to do. I don't adjust much more than contrast (well, in either the direct way of contrast/brightness or through levels or through the curves) but I still find it to be an essential thing to "verify" before presenting my photographs to the world.
Think about that

Oh also, for those who don't get it, I'm pretty sure that the film is projected on a sheet of glass, so light gets reflected off the glass around the film but not off the film itself, thus you get this picture.
That's my guess anywho

Oh snap, that's crazy
I always thought photography was so much more than just recording what's in front of the lens, but I never quite thought about going behind the lens
