Description
So on Sunday evening, while out with and some friends at a local beach, we noticed the marine layer coming in and how the ripples in the clouds resembles ocean waves. It was right then that I said out loud, “An ocean in the sky,” and an idea was born! Ever since that evening, I’ve been brainstorming ideas for a possible project, Ocean in the Sky, which I hope to turn into an animated feature film if I’m successful in earning my dream career working in an animation studio.

For starters, I already conceptualized the protagonist, Delilah. She’s a 22-year-old who lives in a cliff side neighborhood next to a beach. She lives with her older brother (who will be a side character) and they work at their town’s sea shack where they sell all sorts of ornaments for tourists or locals who simply love the ocean. When not at work, Delilah spends her time doing marine biology research since she enjoys that sort of science (having been a straight A student back in her school days). Sometimes, she’ll walk along the shore with her brother or by herself. During one of those times, she ends up meeting the deuteragonist to the story, whose reference sheet I will be working on next.
