Description
Random colorful piece made from one of my older sketches of a manga lady holding a sword, over~lapped with a flower and another mirrored image of a tribal design.... also got a picture in the bottom left corner of two budding plants inverted and then blended in to the picture..Might use as a background to put a tag over or some sort of graffiti piece..

Initial Impression: The spirits from Final Fantasy Spirits Within have formed a giant flower, trippy!
Perception Lines: I see the flower first, it dominates the piece then I see a figure to the right that seems to be part of the flower. Then I notice some green tree like things in the bottom left.
Vision: As these are random overlaps for pretty effect, there's not a real vision here. It feels like the blooming flower is the primary focus and the theme is formation and color.
Originality: Random is certainly original and the layers of flower, anime sword wielding female, and buildings isn't something you normally see.
Technique: Aside from the execution of the flower, I'm not really drawn to the picture. The other layers detract from the blooming and birthing imagery of the flower itself and doesn't provide a layered and deep composition.
Impact: The initial impression is positive but the longer I consider the composition the less artistic it comes off. That being said if the layers had a bit more correlation in subject matter, theme, or shape it would definitely have brought this composition up a notch or two.
