After years of not doing anything related to this comic, I bring out something that's not even from the main story long after everyone's stopped caring. Never mind. This is a younger Sherilyn and Mychal, from my old abandoned webcomic The Adventures of Sherilyn and Emma.

Basically, little Sherilyn has a thing about telling the truth. It’s not that she can’t lie, or even that she won’t – she’s told plenty of fibs in her time – but she doesn’t understand the idea that people don’t always want to know the truth. Mychal, who’s had longer to wrap her head around the concept and is more used to blending in with ‘normal people’, takes it upon herself to explain. When she was younger, Mychal used to be quite similar to Sherilyn, but being an only child at the time, she learnt to adapt and restrain herself so she could keep people happy and hence more likely to give her what she wanted. She’s trying to teach Sherilyn this, and Sherilyn is learning, but not as quickly – having an older sister around who understands the way she thinks means she has less motivation to try and fit in. And of course, Mychal can’t help indulging her sometimes, because finally, someone else like her!
