I drew Mario fighting Bowser as if it was an old cartoon from the 1930s. I decided to draw it because of the sudden trend of that period of animation being popular, with the rise of such titles as Cuphead and Bendy and the Ink Machine.The style of this piece is inspired by classic cartoons from Inkwell studios, founded in 1921 by Max Fleischer and his brother, Dave.
