(Godzilla VS Chainsaw Man)

“Impia Calamitas”

Giant disfigured abomination like creatures that are treated more like natural disasters than monsters. Both also embody the fear of man made weapons which they were born from (nuclear radiation for Shin and the fear of guns for the Gun Devil). Both were also awakened/summoned by humanity (Shin Godzilla was awakened by underwater nuclear weapon testing and Gun Devil was summoned by the us government to kill makima). The US government got involved with them (US was trying to stop Godzilla which in turn made him destroy a city, and The US president summoned Gun Devil). There were multiple attempts from the Japanese government to terminate them however they were all futile and they are eventually defeated by unconventional means (Shin Godzilla body was frozen solid by coagulants and the Gun Devil was killed by Makima). Furthermore both take on a wildly different and upright form later in the story (Shin Godzilla’s final form and Gun Fiend). Both have humanoid things attached to them (Shin Godzilla had humanoid creatures on his tail and Gun Devil has skulls on its chest).
