Description
A rare mortal trusted to direct the artillery fire against whatever targets the Iron Warriors designate. Even before I had read the rules I knew I wanted a Master of Ordinance in my army to really push the artillery angle (over and above the 4 artillery units I am planning to have).

This model is so lovely I did almost nothing to it, just removed the genestealer forehead ridges.

To paint the hologram I spent a while carefully building up a smooth layer of Wraithbone and used the Aethermatic Blue Contrast paint. I won't say it's perfect but it stands out against the traditional painting techniques used on the rest of the model to reinforce the ethereal quality of a hologram. I also used gloss washes on the table, in contrast (lower case c) to the matt washes on the rest of the model, to show this as a carefully maintained piece of equipment. I decided to give him a red robe to tie him in with the Dark Mechanicum, rather than the Traitor Guard, cementing his role as support rather than a combatant.
