Random Korra speedpaint to describe my feels. lol Please don't judge how rough of a sketch this is!
Okay. So now that the whole thing seems to be dying down a little bit now, I feel as if it is safe to mention something about this. I apologize for this rant ahead of time.
As made obvious by this, I'm not mad about Korrasami. I wasn't expecting it, I'll admit, and while I did like Mako, I was very much rooting for single Korra. Knowing that Korrasami is canon though, I'm not mad. I wish they would have had more moments together, so that it was awkward and cute and undeniable, even to the people who didn't like it or didn't see it coming. I like having "aww" moments, and I feel like they didn't have any except Asami telling Korra her hair was nice.

What upset me about the ending was how they ended the very last finale for the entire series. After all of this extended Team Avatar beating the final enemy, I wanted at least the four of them chilling together, to bring the entire thing full circle. And instead they end it with the Avatar going on vacation, right after she tells Tenzin that she wants to do more. She deserves the vacation, but she literally just gave a speech about wanting to do stuff. That, and I feel like Asami and Korra are like, Eh, screw Bolin and Mako, they don't need a vacation. I know that Korra is trying to cheer up Asami here because her father just died, but I felt like they were just leaving the guys behind. Mako almost died, and I feel like there is no reward for that. Korra says that saying Thank You isn't enough for what he did. But that's all she says and then walks away. No reward for the poor guy, and he almost died. He deserves a vacation too! And Bolin for saving him, and because Bolin is awesome.

I'm glad we got the romance (and SUPER glad for the wedding), but I feel like it left a lot out for some of the other characters. Does Bataar Jr. get accepted back into the family? How well does the new Earth Kingdom plan pan out? What happens to Mako now? Girlfriendless and jobless, unless he stays as a guardian to Wu? Does Wu join the badger moles (that was epic singing, btw). Does baby Rohan EVER AIRBEND? How did Sokka die, and where is Suki?! AND WHY DO THEY MENTION LIN'S FATHER, BUT NOT SUYIN'S (This last point drives me nuts.)

I DIGRESS All that being said. I didn't like the Korrasami moment at first, but I've figured out that it's because I didn't like the placement of the episode. and it has slowly grown on me since. I just didn't like it at the end, as a way of tying up the series. I wish it would have ended on Team Avatar, or even on the talk between Tenzin and Korra, and I wish the Korrasami moment would have been earlier in the episode.

TL;DR. I wasn't 100% happy with the finale. I've seen this written somewhere else, probably Reddit, and so I put this in picture form. Here we have all of Team Avatar going on a well deserved vacation to the spirit world. The guys have a brotherly moment here (nicely bringing closure to the fact that Mako almost died and I feel like Bolin has been too serious/stressed lately), and then we still have Korrasami. Bam. Win-win, right? Opal's not included because she's finding closure with her family and Bataar Jr.

Edit:Also, just want to reiterate that I don't have a problem with Korrasami! I wasn't sure about it at first but it is growing on me. I accept it as canon and simply wish they would have had more episodes to write out more of a relationship between them, I guess? I like interaction between couples, and I feel like they didn't have enough, mainly due to the limit on episodes they had for this. My only other point to this is that I wish we could have seen Team Avatar all together for one last scene for the finale. That is all.
