Two more gemsonas of mine, Violet Pearl and Ruby (or "Smartie" if Steven met her)

As a homeworld gem, Violet was made to be given to a high-ranking gem in Blue Diamond's court. However, she had a tendency to reshape her clothes into more intricate & colourful designs rather than sticking with the usual pearl one-piece type outfit, despite being told not to. Homeworld deemed that she was unfit/unworthy to be given to such a high ranking official, as pearls are meant to do as their owner says, not acting of their own free will. But instead of being discarded, she was given to whom homeworld considered a less important gem.

Ruby, on the other hand, was a common soldier (as all homeworld rubies are considered to be). Despite being underestimated because of the whole "rubies are dumb" stigma, she always did her best to outsmart her opponents. It took centuries of hard work (turning her into a bit of a cynic), but eventually she was recognised by homeworld as an exceptional ruby, and given her own pearl. This was how Ruby and Violet Pearl met.

Some time after that... Long story short, due to past experience, neither were all that fond of homeworld. So, they eventually made an escape, meeting Fibi along the way & leaving in a (stolen) roaming eye.
