Description
Meet the Elepir (Tapirus Elephas)This time I chose the tapir because of all the pachyderms, the tapirs have the biggest chance of surviving into the far future of any known pachyderm.
The Elepir is a decendant from the American or Brazillian Tapir (Tapirus terrestris) and lives on the grassy plains of South America 50 million years hence. Newborn calves are about 50 cm at the shoulder and weighing about 75 kg (150 lbs). The adults are about 2 - 2,5 m at the shoulder, 3 - 4 meters long and weighing 2 - 3 tons. Like it's ancestor, the Elepir is a herbivore and feeds on tall grass and low tree-branches. The proboscis evolved into an actuall trunk, the ears got bigger in order to cool off and it's neck and legs grew slightly longer. It uses it's trunk to warn rivals and to grab food and water. The calves have stripes in order to camouflage so he can't be seen by predators like the Bearcats and Raptogs. They also still have the proboscis found on modern day tapirs, but that will grow into a trunk as they get older.
I hope you guys like this pic of a mother Elepir and her calf ^^

Actually, I don't think Tapirs will make it tho that long in the future. They're likely to go extinct in our lifetime. Really sad.

Very nice work! I like how you analyze the animals and give us a detailed description of them and why you chose to evolve that particular one. You gave this animal an interesting coat; three different, distinct colors.
