Personality

Stubborn - When Isabel has set her mind to a path, it is difficult to turn her away from it. She can often lose sight of safe and unsafe, and often needs to be brought back to earth... this has since proven itself to be a dangerous trait.

Rebellious - Daisy's adventurous streak means she often forges her own path in pursuit of entertainment. Though she would never directly disobey an order, she often adds her own flair to daily tasks; ask her to go fishing and she'll try and bring back a whale, for instance. This has potentially dangerous consequences, however; her open-mindedness and determination to go above and beyond mean she is quick to coerce down an unsavory path. Were the wrong wolf come by, Daisy could potentially find herself in a tricky and even dangerous situation.

Needy - Having watched her family shrink throughout the course of her life in ways she never anticipated, Isabel has never learned to deal with loss very well. She is prone to fits of anger and can come off as extremely clingy, to the detriment of herself and those around her.

Weary - Now having only herself to rely on, Isabel's warm heart has been locked away. She is standoffish towards strangers and does not take kindly to being surprised or otherwise led astray.

History

Isabel was born in Fellfang to Nach and Tadita. She grew up well-loved by both of her parents and had a fairly stable relationship with her siblings, although she often had trouble socializing and reading social cues. Although Myghchaell had accepted being the bondfather of her and her siblings, his duties to the pack meant they were fairly distant. Friendly, sure, and he loved her as fiercely as he loved anyone else in the skuld, but the relationship Isabel had with him wasn't as close as it was with some of her siblings.

She was closest to her older step-sister, Nayeli, having admired her strength and striving to be as tall as her one day. But Isabel was always restless, always wandering, and for that reason she was especially upset when Nayeli departed from Fellfang. She'd gotten the urge to follow her numerous times, but always thought better of it.

When the Deep Freeze struck the Domain, Isabel's world turned upside down. Her father Nach and one of her brothers, Hajlmar, left Fellfang for reasons her young mind didn't really understand. Cacao and Myghchaell tried to stop her, but she would not be swayed; she just couldn't accept yet more people in her life leaving. It hurt too much. After snapping at her brother, and racked with anger and guilt, Isabel fled into the snow. Chaell returned to Fellfang distraught, and searched for her whenever it was safe to do so; but he never found her. All he had left of Tadita's daughter was one of her daisies.

Content Warning: Mentions of facial injury.

Isabel would survive, but suffered the consequences. She had lost her way in the woods and slipped, knocking herself out on a rock and collapsing into a frigid puddle at the bottom of a very small gulley. She had just enough shelter to be shielded from the winds, but awoke with half her face and one ear frozen into the ice. Panic gripped her, and before she could use the logical side of her brain, Isabel broke free and left a chunk of fur and skin behind. The frostbite had ensured that her ear would never again prop up straight, nor would the fur on that side of her cheek grow back the same. Most gruesome of all was the bloody wound on her face, caused when she'd ripped herself free from the ice.

In a great deal of pain, Isabel staggered deeper into the forest in search of some kind of healing herb she could use to staunch the bleeding; but she was no healer. What little she could do for herself managed to keep her alive and prevent infection; the cold, in all its wickedness, had done a good amount of the work for her.

She would ultimately survive her injuries, but was hopelessly lost and very far away from Fellfang. She came to realize that a wild goose chase in search of her missing family would only get her into further trouble, and if she wasn't careful then it would be her death. Her stubbornness had punished her, but now came the chance to use it to her advantage.

Over the months, however, her survival skills would be put to the test. She'd find dead animals, see strange white shapes in the distance, and meet strangers talking pure nonsense... she was convinced these pale wolves were draugr, creatures of Fellfang lore, here to judge and punish her for abandoning her pack. It made sense to her, at the time; it was also what solidified her decision not to return home. She'd been claimed by the wild and driven out by ghosts. She became remarkably good at avoiding them, though close calls were frequent. But Isabel would eventually learn that these white wolves were not draugr, but beasts all their own.

Vilu nearly scared her half to death when they first met. White wolves tended to spook her, these days. After an... awkward first meeting, she would learn that something called the Hive had invaded the Domain. Deciding she'd run out of luck eventually, she took Vilu's offer and ended up joining a band of other lone wolves; Robin, Vilu, Rose, Solstice, and eventually Creeper and Baby. Though she still struggled to socialize, Isabel was able to open her heart and mind up to caring for other people in her life for the first time in a very long time. She grew especially close to Rose, who she learned was Nayeli's daughter; strange as fate was, she embraced it wholeheartedly. But she wasn't content to sit around, let alone occupy pack wolf territory while the Domain fought against the Hive.

And when their war with the Hive ended, Isabel had since moved on and split away. Though she would always carry those familiar faces in memory, she still had much of the world left to see...

Trivia

Isabel was born with a snaggle tooth on the upper right side of her mouth, giving her a protruding canine. While it does not significantly impact her in any way that raises concern, her speech is slightly impaired by it and she takes great care to enunciate her words. Words with the letter "S" in them may sound funky at times, especially when she's upset and not thinking straight.

She was jokingly given the nickname "Daisy" by Myghchaell, for the cream-colored star on her forehead that resembles the petal of a daisy. Although it was made in jest, the name stuck. She hates being called it by anyone but her family or those she decides are allowed to do so, and will readily snap at anyone who tries.

Frostbite injuries to one side of her face have permanently warped the way the fur on that side grows. Her vision on that side hasn't suffered very much, but she usually has that eye slightly squinted.
