I see him as being a Chesnut or Light bay color and you could give him a name like Elk

honestly i could see this horse kind of earthly looking. like un-natural colors, brown, that fades to a green as you get to the horses underside. maybe a tad of spots, brown ones. like freckled type here and there.
and the skull, off white, kind of dirty. imagine him like the king of the forest. randomly appears out of no where. he would have colors that would blend him into his surroundings.

Maybe he could be black with white bone markings where his bones are? At least that's what the skull on his face reminds me of.

This is a very awesome character sketch. I'm looking forward to seeing it colored. That's gotta be one big deer to cover a horse's face with its skull ^^ Anyway, I have to partially agree with Furyaun; I think that he should be a blue roan sabino with a white face marking, maybe some socks <3 I love that color. But I'm thinking of making a character like that, so hahah. But sabino = win. Go for it! Names... you got me there. I've gotta see the whole shabang before I think of names.
