Well this is a suprising turn of events for me. O____o

So the girl on the left is Karasu, a human girl I created and the black arms alien is Alastor. There kind of like partners to a degree. How they became partners is a story i wanna bring to light.

However this is just a concept I've had in my head! Take a read into my mind!

So I've had this little idea tagged and bagged in my head since like last week. After reading up on the latest Sonic issues in IDW, it was kinda sad to see the black arms event was already covered and done with when sonic said those events came to pass. I woulda enjoyed seeing a new take on it!

Anywho, the purple black arms alien was someone I never really put any thought into until now.

So Shadow's a type of vanguard black arms alien right? He mostly fights on the front lines, plans arent entirely his forte, but when he has a plan, he puts it into action. And his speed makes him a literal speedster.

Eclipse is also a vanguard type, but mostly the kind that resorts to letting his minions do the fighting. He has an ace in the whole transformation that makes him a strict power type to a degree. This tacts on with the dark wisps he has with him.

So I pondered...what could make Alastor stand out from these two? He's just like them, but what hasnt exactly been done with black arms? So I considered him being somewhat akin to an intelligent type and somewhat like a parasite. Then it hit me.

MERGING/POSSESION
Well thats the temporary name I'm calling it. Since it can go two ways.

See, Alastor was created as a collaboration between the black arms and a third party. So he's not attuned to the chaos force as his "Big brothers. But wasn't left completely inept.

He has his own personal abilities, but his signature one is "Merge/Possession". He's able to liquify himself and pretty much latch onto anyone and completely take them over. In doing so, he gains everything he needs to know on said individual, much like Black Deaths and Dooms mind probing. He is also able to leave piece of himself in his victims to make them into his mind slaves. And he is able to alter his gender.(Due to his abilities, it makes sense since he gains intel on there genetic make up and cells. More on this later, still working out the kinks.)

I was also thinking he can have a "Evolution" kind of gimmick. You know how Eclipse wanted to harvest Mobius's inhabitants for the feeding frenzy?

Well this concept becomes strong in Alastor. He possess's some kind of need to feed on victims so his power and intellect can grow. And the more he feeds, the stronger he can become, adopting his victims abilities should they possess any. I mean he gets everything else. Plus he gets older and wiser. He is able to keep it in check, but the trait of his people compels him to eat on humans or mobians.
(This is a concept Im strongly wanting to have with him Since i think it kind of got wasted. Maybe because no one really tried to cross THAT line in the comics. Seeing it happen woulda added some credibility to the black arms being the type of race to feed on another, even if its off panel and all you hear are screams)

This would essentially led to him becoming stronger than Shadow and Eclipse because he has POTENTIAL to grow. And isn't powerful right off the bat. Plus this journey to power must make him cross a line that can make or break him.
However this can vary, since if he bonds to someone with good intentions and ideologies, he can be good and fight for good, Thus Merge. But should he bond to someone bad, he can adopt a negative ideology and belief, thus fulfilling what the black arms were meant to do, hence Possession(this is still debatable).

This can work in a way that can tear him apart between being good and evil.

Though, this all comes to pass if Alastor can remember why he was created. He is basically a child right now with no basic understanding of what he's suppose to do, how his powers work or right and wrong. So all in all, a blank slate.
