I've been experimenting with my style as I feel like it has grown inconsistent recently. When that starts to happen, I like to study and redraw work from artists that I like and want to learn from to try and refocus things.

So, I picked a nice little sketch from his twitter account: synecdoche445

For those that don't know, Synecdoche is the artist who draws Plus-Sized Elf.

Because I have been having wrist trouble, I've wanted to move away from the amount of hatching that I have normally relied on, and I really like how Synecdoche draws thicc ladies with very few lines and still manages to convey a lot of information.

Trying very hard to actually try to get more from less. Less muddle hatching and fewer layers of shading, so that I can keep drawing without needing to take so many days off to rest my wrist.

It is the third brush in that pack. He doesn't like it for hatching, but I quite like it. It feels like a great mix between a pigment liner and a brush, and I can definitely see myself drawing with it a lot in the future.

I'm trying to make my colors look similar to copic markers, but to save time and wrist pain, I mostly just use the generic flat color brush where I add texture and soften the edges.
