He let himself sink into the horizon in defeat, watching the glorious golden Sun sink away. The sky seemed like a star specked sepulchre, watching the beacon he followed fall as a body to a tomb. He stopped throwing stars. He stopped tracing the clouds. He just sat, looking at his face in the reflective sky. The Moon's job is to stay in the sky, away from the Sun. It's the path of destiny these wings kept him in. He wished his wings were gone. ✨
