Description
Here's my entry to this month's and last MGC. I didn't quite get it done in time, since the week before Christmas I was sick, then I worked a bit and of course had family stuff to do for the week of Christmas, and I've been doing my best to get ready for the new year the past week or so. Busy, busy, busy. This was a fun idea I wanted to try and I have to say I'm fairly satisfied. First attempt, or at least attempt I'm happy with, at a humanoid gargoyle. She was fun, even though she has no name and no basic colors just yet lol. That will come.
Anyway, this is Nathan and his new friend, having fun with a snowball fight. It was too much fun and WILL see color soon. I would have colored it tonight but it's getting late and I'm fixing to head out to party with my sister and her friends and roommates so I don't really have the time to color it, since it's fairly elaborate with a background and all.
To MGC, we'll miss you, but thank you so much for all the fun and the inspiration! Wishing you a fond farewell

EDIT: It's a bit darker and fuzzier at the bottom because the paper is a little too big for my scanner so I did my best to center it, but the gap between the edge there and the scanner created something of a shadow lol. Hope it's not too bad.

I always enjoy seeing your artwork. This looks quite fluid & playful. Can't wait to see it finally colored in. Your line art is so pretty.
UGH! I've been planning on drawing something for the last MGC, yet with the Christmas holiday, and being with my family, I never found the time to draw the Clan leaders of my 7 ancient Egyptian gargoyles.
They're based on the cobra, cat, jackal, and 3 humanoid Egyptian Sphinxes. Three of the clans can successful mate with human men, and women... It's a pretty old story I really should write down.
